Gold Heart on Blue Plate Special

Gold Heart will be a featured performer on this afternoon’s (7/15) edition of Blue Plate Special on WDVX, broadcasting at noon (EDT) from Knoxville, TN.

The three singing Gold sisters (Analise, Jocelyn and Shelby), along with their dad Trent and crackerjack banjo picker David Carroll, are on what they are calling their 2011 Multi-Media Tour this weekend. They did live performances and interviews yesterday for several East Tennessee TV and radio stations, followed by a show at The Pickin’ Porch in Bristol.

They stop in today at WDVX for the Blue Plate show, which is cybercast worldwide at www.wdvx.com, and head to Marion, VA on Saturday for a taping of Song Of The Mountains, set for telecast in the future on PBS.

If you’ve not heard these talented siblings perform, check out this video travelogue of their UK tour in 2009. It captures both live and pre-recorded music from the Golds, with Swedish banjo phenom Jens Koch in tow.

Oh… and tune in at noon to hear them on WDVX.
