Sarah Jarosz fronts Acoustic Guitar

Sarah Jarosz is on the cover of the October edition of Acoustic Guitar magazine, now on newsstands and shelves in stores.

The multi-page cover feature written by Kenny Berkowitz discusses guitars, octave mandolins, and her expansive and adventurous sophomore album, Follow Me Down. Categorized as a Songwriter Special the music and lyrics for the lead-off song on Follow Me Down, Run Away, are discussed as well.

Also of interest to bluegrass enthusiasts will be the Player Spotlight on the Gibson Brothers, Eric and Leigh, from up-state New York.

The magazine also has a story on Richard Thompson (yea, the other one!) who talks about using his guitar to find new songs, the Players Choice awards for 2011, a Shoptalk feature on Erich Solomon, the New Hampshire luthier who specializes in modern archtop guitars and an article on how to write like the Beatles.

Lastly, there’s the usual Lessons and Gear Reviews.
